For Less than a
Cup of Coffee.

Welcome to the launch of A1ANDALL, an extension of our deeply-rooted commitment to giving back to the community. This new platform reflects our dedication to funnel our cooperative's success back into the neighborhoods that have nurtured and supported us.

Our worker-owned cooperative has pledged to allocate 10% of our annual Net Income before taxes to ignite positive change within Bellingham and Whatcom County. But you can also help, for less than what it costs to buy a cup of coffee.

Our Current Project in the Birchwood Neighborhood

For the last seven years, the Birchwood neighborhood here in Bellingham - home to about 10,000 people - has not had easy access to nutritious foods since Alberston’s closed, which was the only local grocery store.

With no other supermarkets nearby, a group of neighbors and allies formed the Birchwood Food Desert Fighters. As the main food source now for many in the neighborhood, the Birchwood Food Desert Fighters give away between 1,000 to 2,000 pounds of food every Saturday, but even then their efforts can’t meet the full demand.

To help with this, A1DesignBuild through our nonprofit A1andAll has donated a number of food pantry boxes throughout Birchwood to help collect food and other donated items. These have since fallen into disrepair, and new metal boxes are being designed and will be placed in the neighborhood this summer 2024. But we need your help.
